MultiPipe pipes for gas networks

MULTIPIpe polyethylene pipes of the range of nominal diameters from 90 to 400 mm are designed for the supply of gaseous fuels under low and medium pressure. The pipes are manufactured as double-layer pipes from the PE 80 or PE 100 polyethylene, SDR 11 and SDR 17.6. The technology of production of MULTIPIPE polyethylene pipes comprises applying a casing pipe on the line pipe.
The MULTIPIPE polyethylene pipes for the supply of gaseous fuels are used for installing low and medium pressure gas networks (up to 0.5 MPa), placed in natural soil without the use of bedding and backfill, using traditional and narrow trenches. The casing layer of MULTIPIPE pipes is designed to protect the pipe surface against damages during installation and point loads occurring during the pipeline operation when it is buried in the ground without sand bedding and backfill, and during renovation works. The scope of usage of MULTIPIPE polyethylene pipes is decided by a gas network designer. Pipes are available only in sections of 12 m long.
The MULTIPIPE pipe sections and fittings are joined by the following welding methods:

  • thermal butt welding,
  • electrofusion welding

Before welding, the casing layer pipe shall be removed.

  • range from 90 to 400 mm,
  • raw material PE80 or PE100,
  • SDR 11, SDR 17,6.

TwinPipe pipes for gas networks

TWINPipe polyethylene pipes of the range of nominal diameters from 25 to 630 mm are designed for the supply of gaseous fuels. The pipes are manufactured by co-extrusion as double-layer pipes, SDR 11 and SDR 17.6. They are produced by from two types of polyethylene – PE 100 polyethylene and polyethylene with increased resistance to crack propagation (PE 100RC) – orange in colour, used for the top layer.
The TWINPIPE polyethylene pipes are used for installing low and medium pressure gas networks (up to 0.5 MPa), placed in natural soil without the use of bedding and backfill, and for renovation, using traditional and trenchless methods.

TWINPIPE polyethylene pipes are available in three different versions of layers used:

  • single-layer, entirely made of PE 100RC, the range of nominal diameters from 25 to 75 mm;
  • double-layer, the inner layer made of PE 100 and the outer layer made of PE 100RC, the range of nominal diameters from 75 to 630 mm;
  • double-layer, the inner layer made of PE 100RC and the outer layer made of PE 100RC, the range of nominal diameters from 90 to 630 mm.
